Can I download a file larger than my plan's file size limit?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

For subscription plans, the file size limit applies to each individual link, not the combined total of files within the link. For example, if your plan allows you to download files up to 5GB, you can download up to 5GB per link. For instance, you might download a 3GB file and a 4GB file separately without exceeding the 5GB per-link restriction. If any file within that link exceeds the size limit, the link will be marked as 'Failed,' and your link credits will be returned. You can check the status of 'Failed' links on your dashboard. For more details on why a link failed, click the three-dot menu on the right and select 'Details.'

If you frequently exceed file size limits, it might be worthwhile to upgrade to a plan that can accommodate larger downloads. This can help you avoid interruptions and save time.

For one-time plans, if your file exceeds the size limit, we will invoice you for an additional charge to upgrade to a plan that supports your file size. The invoice will outline the specific extra cost for handling the larger file, providing you with a clear breakdown of the charges involved. You will only be billed once you approve and pay the invoice. Alternatively, a refund can be provided upon request. This ensures that users are not charged unnecessarily if they decide not to proceed with the download. You will be notified by email if this occurs.
